Hotpoint Dishwasher LFT 321 - code 11 flashes

I have the LFT 321 dishwasher and after about 5 mins code 11 flashes.
Not sure if an error code, as not F11. Do you know if error codes are prefixed by an F ?
It is only 13 months old (so outside guarantee!)
Any ideas anyone?

F11 or 11 flashes indicates wash motor failure, which seems to tie up with what you describe (the machine pumps out, fills, then stops?). Could be a piece of glass or similar jamming the wash motor impellor, a defective motor capacitor, break in wiring, failed motor, or more rarely a bad pcb.

Zipper thanks for that. It tries to pump out and thats as far as it gets. So no filling, washing etc. Will look to see if there is any glass to jam it. It sounds like a need a repair man tho?

If it doesn't fill then it isn't the wash motor that is causing the problem & F11 can't be what you are seeing. The first thing a dishwasher does is pump out stale water in the sump, if it can't pump out it won't fill either. So it looks more like a drain issue to me (unlikely to be an inlet valve problem). If you feel confident enough to dig a little deeper check the sink spigot isn't clogged up then remove the filters & bail out as much water as you can from the sump (use whatever you have to hand). There should be a removable plastic cover in the right hand side of the sump (bottom). Remove this & check if something is blocking the pump impellor (olive stone, piece of glass etc). If you think this is a little beyond your capabilities then it might be best to call qualified assistance. Horses for courses so to speak...absolutely no shame in that. Good luck whatever you decide
