Hotpoint Filter Cap

I have a Hotpoint WF541 am trying to undo the filter cap at the front can only turn it so far anti clockwise and is still tight am i doing it right, it starts to allow water to seep out but can not turn it very far.

you got a coin in there .tilt mc back and give it a couple of thumps on the filter and then unscrew .
