Hi All,
I am looking at a property right now and pre-empting some of the survey points.
The pointing seems to be missing in small places and "interestingly" patched in other areas.
Does this still look serviceable with a bit of gap filling, or not really and needs to be done.
Equally this is a 1930/1940 house, the bricks look somewhat more "rustic" than what you see on later homes, do they look serviceable?
Also do you have an idea what kind of mortar they have used for the pointing, i.e lime or concrete?. I am presuming lime.
Thanks
