I have 2 round holes in a ceiling left by old spot lights. My electrician filled other holes by cutting circular sections from plaster board but he must have forgotten about these 2. Is there another way of doing it?

poke a batten through the hole and secure it through the existing plasterboard with dry wall screws and cut a circle of plasterboard and screw it into the batten, fill over and sand back with a sanding block.
