how to fit a new air vent on a ferrolli optima 701

Can anyone advise me how to fit an automatic air vent on a ferroli optima 701, the old one leaking water

do i need to drain the complete system down including water out of all the radiators,

No drain down required. Simply release all system pressure and change the auto vent. Protect any electrics. You will lose little water. Once fitted, repressurise your boiler with filling loop.
