HW cylinder for CW storage

Has anyone seen this?

Galv coffin storage tank in confined roof space had leaked, no way of getting old tank out let alone new tank in.

So old tank is moved over and small cw tank put in loft space. This is connected up in the normal way, mains and HW vent etc, except a direct cylinder is placed above existing cylinder in the airing cupboard below. The cold feed from the replaced roof tank is piped into the top of the direct cylinder and the cold feed from this is from the bottom tapping then to existing cylinder in normal way.

Haven't seen it yet but going next week. Comments?

I'd have lined the old leaky tank with butyl pond liner but maybe that's just me being cheap.

Please post a pic. In a strange way , it`s OK - no different from a Fortic or an Elson setup
