Hi there!

I have a back bolier that is about 10 years old or so and all the radiators in the house work except the one in the lounge. I bought a key and tried to bleed it but all that came out was water, no air. The radiator itself makes no noise and does not get hot AT ALL! The heating system sometimes makes a little noise but nothing major. I am unsure what to try next.
Can anyone help?

Cheers,
Vicki

Hi Vicki, does the radiator have a TRV fitted? If so it could just be a simple case of the mechanism being stuck. Remove the head and see if the pin will move up and down if you press it. If not then the valve is stuck shut. A gentle couple of taps should free it.

thermostatic rad valve,if you remove the head from the valve there will be pin,try pushing the pin to see if you have movement,if not the pin is jammed, get a set of pliers and pull pin gently away from the rad

Or you could try turning off all the other radiators so the ch pump clears any possible air lock to the one rad. that is not working. Then turn them back on one at a time till the system is fully hot. :P
