ideal isar m30100 high level vertical flue outlet kit

Hi

I purchased a high level vertical flue outlet kit for the ideal isar m30100 boiler as per the advice from my engineer

Does the "air inlet" section of the flue require circulation of air?

As the flue tube with the elbow air inlet terminal shall be enclosed within a sealed area below a sealed shelter where there shall be no circulation of air, rain etc

My engineer has advised it will be fine as the long tube that emits the plume will be outside in the air

Please could you confirm if this is correct

If you don't have confidence in the installer, get another one.
You are unlikely to get safety critical advice here; most of don't want to be responsible for diy or cowboy activities.
Did you verify that the guy was actually who he said he was? You can check online with Gas Safe Register, including a photo of the card holder.
