In all programs except the short ones with warm wash (55°C) & cold rinse, the main pump sounds like it slows down more & more as it goes through the cycles until it eventually stops completely during the last hot rinse (70°C) about 15 minutes before the end.

If left in that state for a couple of minutes, the display then indicates error A08 ("Wash Pump Triac closed/open circuit - check Wash Motor operation") & the machine drains, and can not be restarted or reset before for a few hours.

Sounds like the problem is with the main pump & is temperature related. Has anyone seen this before and know how it can be fixed?

I'm not an expert but it sound like the wash pump TRIAC!!

If you don't know what that is then I suggest you call in an engineer. :)

I would have thought the triac error msg is a result of the pump being stuck, not the other way around...

As the motor stops spinning, the load seen by the triac is more or less a short circuit and is detected as such by the triac. Hence the "Triac closed circuit" error and the advice "Check wash motor operation".

Question is what causes the pump to get stuck....
