INDESIT W161 -only one wash cycle working...

My INDESIT W161 washer won't run on any other program except '3' (60c fast cotton). When I try others, it just sits still with the program light full on - no rapid flashing, no dial clicking round (had those faults previously).

Does this suggest a control module or eeprom fault? Could it be linked to something else, i.e. pressure switch?

Is this something that's fixable by a DIY'er? Do you mean I need to open the circuit inlet valve? Where would that be?

one of the two valves at the back are faulty its where the water goes in .

Gotcha! I think this could be it. I don't get a cold fill, but get a hot fill if I switch the settings to 'eco' which draws off the mains hot.
I checked both inlet hoses and the stopcocks on those from the mains and they look OK. I will get a new valve and do a swap-over and see how it goes.

UPDATE :
Got a new inlet valve/solenoid from UK Whitegoods (£30 cheaper than eSpares!)
Lifted the lid, removed the old valve, cleaned off the connectors, fitted in the new valve and off she goes!
Works a treat!
