I've been looking at FM transmitters but have had problems with them in the past and have stumbled across a couple of hints online as to being able to fit an aux-in 3.5mm stereo cable to the back of the head unit, eg;

Has anyone tried this and is it possible in a UK model 2005 Toyota Corolla TSpirit? What parts would I need?
I am a bit of a car stereo noob, so any pointers or useful links greatly appreciated!
