JVC Telly Re-tune

Just been told by a neighbour that he was charged for getting his telly re-tuned.
apparently, from what I gather the tv refused to re-rtune 1 of the mux channels.
when the transmitter changes frequencies again in a week I've told him to go to factory settings to wipe the channels, then start tuning from scratch.
anyone else had this with JVC tellies?

I have a feeling that if he'd read the instructions, he could have saved a bit of money.

Be realistic.... TV manufacturers are not fiscally responsible for retuning TVs because the UK decides to shuffle the channel frequencies any more than Michelin owes you a new tyre because you drove over a nail.
