hold fin firmly with one hand and turn the very top portion of agitator counterclockwise with the other. after the top is off just lift the cover off. however, if there is glass between the tubs, you will need to get it out also. take the top off, remove the five bolts at the bottom of agitator shaft inside the tub, and lift out tub. i think thats all you have to do to remove the inner tub on this washer. good luck!
