I have a Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher that has slowly developed a leak. The model number listed is 665.17772990. The leak started out at the left side of the door. The amount of the leak was very small. One paper towel could be used to get the water up. Now, I have to place a old terry cloth bath towel down to collect the water.
Last week I removed the bottom panels and ran an empty wash cycle. The door leak is not continuous. It will leak maybe two or three times during the wash cycle coming from the bottom center or lower left corner of the door. However, it seems to be leaking more now. I had standing water on the towel this morning.
The door seal appears to be soft and in good condition. (The dishwasher is about 9 years old.) I have read in different places that the unit could be out of balance. Does anyone have any other sugguestions?
