leaking drain valve

If a drain valve is leaking from its inners can you just unscrew the inners and replace with a new drain valve.inners to avoid replacing the valve
 
yes, if it's exactly the same,unfortunately the threads are different sizes, but you could try changing the washer and making sure there's no grit inside.
 
occasionly an ancirnt type B with no gland. Assuming 1/2" or 15mm
