leisure Alta AL6CDW. left hand side knobs not working

I have a Leisure Alta cooker. yesterday I switched the grill on and hte light came on momentarily, then went off. and the grill stopped working.
I tried turning the oven on and it is fine. however I switched the left hand rings on the ceramic hob and although the hob light came on the rings didnt heat up. the right hand rings are fine.
it seems anything linked to the knobs on the left of the timer clock is not working (the clock is fine however.)
any ideas?

Sounds like broken or loose wire supplying one side of cooker.

You would be better off trying 'appliances' section
