Bump - this fella insulted a load of innocents and their families, IMHO. I'm sure that not many on here can fully empathise with what the scouse community actually went through, but this MP sounded like a real work of art

To be fair -seeing how he cant answer for himself now-- he was only acting upon information he had been given/told and believed what he was told .

It's ok knocking those people who cant answer for themselves .How would you feel if he was a close relation of yours ?.

Incidentally- after all these years sadly the unfortnuate dead are gone - not forgotten- but gone.
Regarding all the money that is being raked in through various appeals -- just exactly where is that money going to ?.
No amount of money can bring the bereaved back.

So- I and many others would be impressed if it was donated to a good cause - ie' Christies Hospital'. In memory of loved ones .

He couldn't disseminate that information quick enough or loud enough or wide enough.

It's ok knocking those people who cant answer for themselves .

He had years to answer for what he did, and chose not to until forced to make some sort of apology by the inquiry report.

How would you feel if he was a close relation of yours ?.
Are you taking the pizz?

Whatever.
So- where's the appeal money going to ?.

No idea, none of your busines unless you put your hand in your pocket anyway......doubtful I'd say.

Its a dead cert I wont be putting my hand in my pocket -for sure.

I support genuine worthy causes only. Sally Army (you may need them some day soon), PDSA, Samaritans and Cancer Research.
All very worthy causes indeed.
I only support the charities that have concern for the living and the people who are suffering.
I just cant get my head around supporting the people who have lost a loved one. However much money they are given from a appeal- It wont bring back their lost loved ones. What do they do with the money ?.
Go figure .
Not meant to be insulting at all- it's just common sense .

Besides that- here's something that may stick in peoples throats-- most of the muscians (ex musos) are 'has beens' and ask yourself-- are they really doing it because they care ? or are they also doing it a little coz it gets them a spot in the limelight for a nano-second too ?.
Go figure.
Lets take care of the living and the 'Genuine' 'needy'- that's what matters most .

PP, isnt your case up in court next week? Please let us know how you get on.

So you would pay some of your benefit money to charities where the CEO's are earning thousands upon thousands per year salaries....and you can be sure you have no idea where that money goes.....with money to the HJC, it goes directly to paying solicitor and court fees.....not to some high earning executive.

I certainly dont think the richest and most successful musician in music history is doing it for a bit of fame and money....you really are a moron aint you?

Everyone is acting as if the populace were hoodwinked and did not know what went on at the time.

Many many people myself incuded placed the blame fairly and squarely with the police at the time and everyone knew way back then that the police were lying.

It was a tragedy at the time and noone with any sense then or now used to believe anything written in the Sun. it was a joke paper.

What happened was simply a whitewash investigation so no surprise there then as they continue to happen to this day.

The families should NOT be compensated by some appeal fund set up and taxpaying people should not be made to feel guilty enough to contribute to such a fund.

The Government should directly pay compensation to these families in exactly the same way as they would have had to do at the time if the enquiry had correctly pinned the blame on the Police as it should have done.
