Hi,
I am looking to find a product to use as dust protection in my loft. Currently there is no roof felt so the loft is very dusty and dirty. I don’t want to spend a fortune as it’s not for a usable room. But there is so much dirt that all the boxes that are stored need to be cleaned before opening or use. I found a breathable membrane in Wickes and wondered if this would work if fixed to the rafters? Or if there are any other suitable products?

It would do the job you want it for and start at the top and work your way along and give each layer a 100mm overlap onto the layer above. A stapler will do the job nicely, preferably a suitably sturdy stapler and not a small office stapler.
