We have just brought our house not so long ago and a loft conversion was done a few years back, I am an amateur but can tell it is certainly a budget fit!, It does the job and looks ok but on closer inspection it is a bit rubbish, It is really cold up there and although i can see they have insulated the roof part of the conversion, both stud walls either side have no insulation between the battens, Sorry im not 100% with the terminology, so its just wood battens and plasterboard, I am wanting to insulate the back of these to make the room warmer and also make the eaves doors fit a bit better to stop the draft! Any ideas what to use, should it be some kind of rockwool supported in between battens or is the polystyrene stuff better? Thanks
