Please no sarcastic comments ! Ive no clue on loft conversions so the following may seem a bit blonde

Im interested in buying a bungalow and am hoping to view a couple this week. One that i have particular interest in has been converted with a shower room and bedroom in the loft. The bedroom has a half roof width dormer to the front and the shower room is to the side aspect of the property. there are no photos of the stairs but im presumming they double back from the entrance hall which is directly below the shower room.

Will the whole of the floor have been strengthened? If yes does this open possibilities for converting the other side easily ?

Most likely they did the minimum amount of work necessary so will not have strengthened anything that they did not need.

For any loft conversion, ask for evidence that it had Planning Permission and Building Control inspection. Otherwise you will have the extra cost of having the bodge removed and done properly.

Hi John unfortunately the current owner didnt carry out the work, it was the previous owner but has assured me the relevent documents are available so will have to see, felt better being able to ask relevent questions though :)

Thanks again for your advice
