loud bang followed by drop in water pressure

Hi , I have always had very good water pressure. Had an electric shower fitted 6 weeks ago which now cuts in and out making it unusable
When you turn any taps on the pressure is good for a second followed by a loud bang then the fow of water drops very low.
I guess this is connected, can any one tell me what i can do to solve this?

Check your stop tap is fully open.
