If this happened in this country, he'd be putting in a claim against the store for chasing him,,, The police for hanging around so long that the bin men came,,, and the refuse company for not checking that a shoplifter was hiding in the bin.
Mind you,,, It's in America..... His claims are probably already in.

I recall two similar incidents in the UK, where someone has slept in a bin, either homeless or drunk, and been killed in the truck, this guy was lucky to survive.
