Good Evening everyone!

I need some advice what could be the problem?

It started two days ago, flame failure light was red on the boiler and it was not firing up. A simple reset solved the issue and it was working until this morning, when we had to reset again. Was working again for a few hours, and then light on again, this time could not reset anymore. Also, a small leak occured as well.
Gas engineer attended, turned out the condensate pipe was blocked, he cleared it, but still not working.
He said there is a sensor in the condensate water tank for safety, and it was under water due to the backed up water, and it might dry out and will work again.

What do You guys think about this?

Any help please. :(

@gas112 might know the answer to this. Some do have a trap connection, no idea about the drying out.

Chap is on the ball. If fault does not clear, replace the condensate trap

It is on since yesterday evening with no issue so far!! ;):giggle:
Condensate trap when overfull, results in condensate interfere with flame signal current shutting the boiler down. Luckily that area now dry so boiler function not impaired.
