I have the Makita GN900SE, having difficulty firing 3.1 x 90mm ring nails made by timco firmahold.......basically it will not fire the nail right in to the timber sticks out about an inch....if you physically put all your weight on the nailer it lifts you up.......Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem with either the nailer or nails I mention?

The gun is perfect with smaller nails.

I'm having the same problem with my paslode 350 and senco nails/gas. I was wondering if the senco metering unit wasn't suitable with the paslode.

Haha....maybe its because we both own Weimaraners by the looks of it ;-)

I did speak to a roofer who uses a Paslode.......he said the cheapo nails & gas can cause this issue....be good to hear from others maybe experiencing the same issue.

She isn't but like our nails she looks the part at first glance.

Certainly a known issue with earlier Paslodes - and one reason why I swapped to Senco GT90CH 7 or so years back. Gas guns generally don't seem to like 90mm ring nails and Paslode didn't sell them for a very long time (until the I'M 360 cam out, I think)
