I've recently had to bleed the hot water system to get a new radiator started, which involved taking out quite a lot of water. When we finished the boiler had shut down, as it probably overheated, but now I can't get it going again.
The pilot light ignites but as soon as you release the knob to turn it to the gas position, the flame goes out. I can't seem to find a reset switch for the boiler either.
Above the ignition button is a spindle which turns 180 degrees, but there is no writing to explain what it does. (or if I need to turn it?)
As the boiler is quite old, I do not have any instructions as to how to reset the boiler.
Any ideas?
