McPherson Strutt Bearing Movement

Hi All
Just had my VW Golf MK3 1998 1.6i MOT'd and chap said McPherson Strutt Bearing both have moment in them. What are they and how can this be fixed? Many Thanks in advance.

Strut(suspension leg) will have to be removed off the car to change the top bearing.Haynes Manual will explain how but you will need a pair of coil spring compressors.
