Can anybody help me please??
my 5 year-old Glow-worm fuel saver complheat 40 leaked last September. After replacing PRV, water differential pressure switch and flexible hose and pipe, it still leaked, so I released some water into the boiler by using a screw driver to unscrew a bolt next to the water tank in the airing cupboard.
Then the water pressure was contastly staying at level 3 when the boiler's on (where it should be staying around 2). But if I take a bath, the pipes in the airing cupboard will make some little humming noises and the water pressure will drop dramatically!!
I ignored it because there's no water dripping from the boiler (because the external pipe's dripping instead!)
Now the boiler's making some awful noise in the first 15 minutes when it's on. It calms down abit but then it makes some other noises. It sounds so scary and I have to switch it off sometimes to give it a rest!
The plumber who fixed my boiler last year obviously doesn't want to come back to do it because he can't find anything problems and I don't want to cherry pick another plumber before I get a professional opinion from you guys first!!
Any suggestions?? Please help!
Millions of thanks!!
Sandy
