Good evening.
Myson Economist problem.
Just went to turn on our heating and it wouldn't power up. The supply fuse had blown (hadn't tripped any switches) so I replaced that and it fired up and worked again as normal except that there was a humming noise coming from the gas control valve. Gave it a quick tap and the noise stopped and everything appears to be okay. Could it be the solenoid is on the way out? Might a squirt of lubricant help?
Thanks in advance.

Noise could be solenoid, but fuse tripping could be pump, loose connection, leaking motorised valve et al

Thankyou for the suggestions. I just thought it would be likely the two were linked, rather than have two separate issues occurring coincidentally. It's been running a couple of hours now without any further problems...... watch this space.
