Hi all, I need to fit a bathroom extractor fan, I thought it would be easiest to mount it in the ceiling and run ducting through the loft and out through either the facia board or soffit board, is this OK.

Also would it run on the lighting circuit or the ring main, I would prefer to be able have it linked to the bathroom light.

Thanks in advance for any advice given

;)

Yes but would be better through a gable end.

If you are having an overrun, three core and earth will be required, also manufactures are likely to require 3A connection and possibly a fan isolator, plus bathroom electrics will also require RCD protection on the circuit.
