trying to fit new rad with push fits which are leaking everywhere! any tips?
Also how can i isolate my glowworm combi so that i can turn heaing off but still get hot water? Have closed heating flow and return but when i try to repressurise water still pours out of push fits, what am i doing wrong?

Sounds like you haven't pushed in the joints far enough or you've not used a pipe slice & the rough edges of the pipes have cut the rubbers.
Try giving the joints a good push, most have a point of resistance when you put the pipe in, you need to give it a further push to get it past the rubber.
if you've been cutting the pipes with a hacksaw then I'm afraid you're screwed!
Don't try isolating the combi & running it a DHW only as it will probably overheat, it needs to get rid of any excess heat through the CH side.

You May not have pushed them fully home.

How did you cut the pipework burr's will damaged the o rings.

Missed the post again :)

uh huh, screwed so to speak- did use hack saw! compression joints any good or just start again with push fits using a pipe cutter this time? have managed to cap off pipes so can use hot water and heating- children in bath as we speak, nightmare!

You will be OK using compression joints to finish it of, next time you want to use push fit, treat yourself to a pipe slice it's a lot easier in the long run.

a thousand thankyous for replies, fab resource. hopefully will all be sorted tomorrow, if not i'll be back!! :D
