Hi,
I just purchased a Makita SDS drill HR2470 and I have noticed that the chuck is not centered perfectly.
The drill bit doesn't seem to wobble but surely the chuck is not rotating in a concentric manner.
I have not tried to drill in bricks yet in case I have to return it.
I spoke to Makita UK and a cockney geeza assured me that it is normal, but he didn't really convince me with his dismissive talk.
Can you advise on the subject please?
Thanks
P.S.: I have come to this forum for a number of years and picked some great advise, I finally registered now!

I think that is my best option.
I'll try a long drill bit and see if it drills a larger hole than it should.
Thanks

Always assuming the long bit is not bent, your not putting too much pressure on it.
