No hot water with Alpha C23 combi boiler

I'm a newbie to this but am looking for a bit of advice.

combi boiler about 2-3 years old provides hot water for central heating but only about 2 minutes of hot tap water then runs cold.

Any ideas on what to check for would be much appreciated.

Or if i have to call somone out how much i can expect to pay

Sounds most likely to be the diverter valve has failed or possibly the plate heat exchanger is blocked.

Exact diagnosis depends on the history and some simple tests.

alpha c23 dont have a diverter valve in them or a plate heat exchanger. They have a dual primary heat exchanger for hot water.

It could be anything. It will probablt be electrical like the flow switch or pcb or anything along those lines.

To call someone out you may be looking at approx £50 + parts depend who you get.
