I've got a old (20 yrs) Vaillant combi boiler, model is VCW sine something. Last weekend it decided it wasn't going to fire up at all - with heating switched on or the hot water running. Pilot light is fine.
My dad suspects its the pump, so I switched it all off, got to the pump and undid the large screw thingy. Then tried to turn the rotor manually, but its stuck fast. Looks like the slot in the rotor is very worn so maybe the previous owners have been doing this a lot.
Is this an easy repair, or is the pump replaceable? Or maybe some other diagnosis?
