Hi, I have one radiator that will not heat up. I took the rad off and flushed it through. It then heated up for a few days. Now it is stone cold again, and the pipe that leads down to it is only warm. There is no air in the radiator, no trv on the rad.

Any ideas. Thanks

Has it been like this for some time? Or just recently after you've had some work done?

It is on a drop (in other words the pipework supplying the radiator comes from above) these can sometimes airlock. Try turning off all the other working radiators by the wheel head (obviously while you have the heating on). Leave it for awhile to heat up, you may hear a gurgling sound thats just the airlock moving into the rad. Bled air out of rad then turn other radiators back on , starting down stairs.

If no gurgling sound happened but the radiator got hot then you may need to balance your system.
