Open with ** Always asked

Why is it that when I receive an email with an acrobat file, I am asked what programme to use to open, I tick the box 'always open this type of file with', but the next email with same attachment I get the same question.

Try downloading Acrobat version 9, should work ok with that.

Go into My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types

Press P to goto all the extensions beginning with P and scroll to PDF.

This should tell you what program it uses to open this file.

If it is Adobe Acrobat make sure it is the version you have on your pc.

If it has nothing associated with it then browse the the Adobe .exe file.

The latest Adobe Acrobat Reader is 7.0.7

Doc,
Everything was set as your detailed instructions. I resolved the problem by uninstalling Adobe & then re installing. All seems fine now. Thanks for advice.
