Just canvassing opinion from those in the know out there regarding the merits or otherwise of optimising systmes for domestic boilers.

Have read blurb regarding Worcester Bosch TD200 and associated RT10 stat and thinking of installing in with new worcester Combi.

Views from anyone with experienece of this system would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

They are what they are. Whats the question?

I suppose my question is do they work and how.

More specifically iam interested in the merits, or otherwise, of the system I mention i.e. ease of set up and use.

Have looked at worcester Td200 contrioller instructions and it does look a tad complex to set up.

The general principal of an optomising room stat is that it trys to work out how long to bring the heating on to reach the eset temperature.

eg on a freezing day it will take longer to heat the rooms up than a mild day.

The optomising stat compares the actual room temp with the requested room temp and 'guesses' how long it will take to acheive this. You will therefore never have a constant on/off tome as with a standard room stat and timer.
