Hi Everyone,

Well, it's that time of year again, Christmas is just around the corner, it's freezing cold out, so, of course, my boiler has to start playing up!!! Lol

Worcester Danesmoor 15/19 Oil Fired Gravity Hot Water

Brief Outline - Water started to run from the overflow from the header tank. Wrongly assumed it was the float valve, changed it, and it's still doing it, Lol. Turned heating off last night, and left hot water on, woke up to a funny smell this morning, went into loft, and header tank has 'boiled' over, making quite a mess......

Am I correct in thinking this is the thermostat? If so, which one? Would it be the main stat? or the high limit stat?

Or, am I completely wrong, and it's something else altogether!!

Thanks for reading :)

Is it pumping over? Thats very serious!

If boiler just boiling then main stat.

If water level increasing then failed cylinder coil.

Many possibilities!

A pro might be a good idea!
