I'm looking for some help with defective patio door hinges please. I have wooden frames with glass panel patio doors in my flat. However in two rooms the hinges are defective and the patio doors either don't open properly or are wonky. The doors also seem to be designed/have hinges which make them act as windows as they either title inwards, or open from the side like a standard door. The hinges are each 18 inches in length from door edge to the end of where they are attached to the top/and bottom of the door.

I've had both my joiner and a locksmith look at this and they said it was a more specialist problem.

However I'm not sure how I go about sorting this out. I need to know what type of doors these are, the type of hinges I need as replacements and where I could source these from, and whether I could do this myself or need a specialist to fit the hinges. If I do need a specialist can anyone recommend companies or types of companies to look out for? I am in Glasgow.

If anyone can help on this I could really appreciate it. I have uploaded photos of the doors and hinges.

You're looking for 'turn and tilt hardware'. Probably this is not the forum to ask in...

But use those search words on Google and you'l find loads of stuff. It may not be possible to get hold of the type you have though.
