Hi
Wonder if anyone can offer some advice on my problem.
I recently changed a 3 port motorised valve on our CH/Hot water system which runs from a hot water tank and expansion tank in the loft.
I had done this on previous occasions when the nylon groove gets worn, this time the valve had started to stick.
The old valve was of Wickes brand with 5 wires including earth. I replaced it with a Sunvic unit which had 4 wires the same colour codes as the old unit but no earth.
I first had a bit of a problem getting water through the system but after blowing down the vent pipe all started flowing.
The problem I have now is that the boiler pilot lights but will not stay on when you release the button on the boiler.
I have cleaned everything out but not joy, it was working ok before i started the work and we use to leave the boiler on 24/7 all year so never had the need to relight it
It is an old unit, BAXI WM 382 RS but until now has performed without problem, serving our needs.
any sensible advice would be appreciated before i think about changing the unit.
thks
