Pirate Radio Via Internet.

Got this software from a mate for setting up a "Pirate Radio" station on the internet. For those with web knowhow (unlike myself) it's all to do with RAR files???
Well the meglomaniac inside me has decided 2 go for it. After all, anythings got to be better than radio 1.
But my question is this: why is it "Pirate?" After all, I'm not broadcasting over the air-waves, so don't need radio licenses etc. And supposing I don't play any music (yeah, right) I'm not infringing copyright laws.
Can anyone tell me anything about this please?

P.S Trivia 4 ya, where did DJ Dazzling Darren Dring come from? Or an easier one, Delbert Wilkins?

rar files are compressed files (do a google seach on winrar)
