plasterboard adhesive as jointing compound?

Hi i'm looking for a cheap jointing compound in powder form that you can buy in a 25kg bag. What I'm wanting to achieve is in the video link where the plaster is rolled onto the wall.

You are advised to use easyfill jointing compound for taped joints. The joint after applying the compound still needs to be sanded down to smooth, dry-wall adhesive is very difficult to sand down. I cannot comment on the product you have linked, as I have no experience of it (using or seeing).
But I would prepare the walls, as I would if doing the joint taping method. So use tapered edge board and apply two or even three applications of taping compound until you have a level/flush smooth joint, this will require sanding after each application.

You may find it that in the end after all the work required and materials, that you would have been better served by employing a plaster and plastered the walls instead, but your choice and be a happy DIYer, good luck.

thanks for the tip ended up plastering the wall myself - plaster a lot cheaper. wander if doing a whole house though how good those compressors with plaster sprayers are for a novice
