Plastering cracks

I had my house skimmed nearly 2 months ago. The ceilings were skimmed over artex and painted.

It was a pretty shoddy job and I worry a lot that they put the mist coat on too soon.

There are a few cracks in the ceiling plaster but my main concern is the cracks along the existing coving as you can see in these photos. Is there anything that the plasterers could have done to prevent this and what is the best way to get rid of them now?
Thanks

Sand back the cracked paint and use caulk or a MS polymer, eg CT1.

I am a decorator and not a plasterer. I suspect that the coving sucked the moisture out of the end of the plaster. Had the plasterer, run the PVA on to the edge of the coving, it may not have cracked, but PVA on painted surfaces causes other problems.

IMO the cracks are not related to the timing of the mist coat.

I don't know why it cracked but repairing it is pretty trivial.
