Does anyone know if there is any value to this basin and toilet roll/ towel holder set? I think it's from the 50s or so?

Gawd that's awful but you never know, there may be someone out there with a matching crapper who would pay for it.
 
I'd be focusing your efforts in France, especially these guys that are renovating French chateaus (Dick and Angel). That period stuff that would be right at home in a chateau bedroom's en suit. Is there a toilet to match, as there usually is.
