Hi everyone,

We have had a number of problems with our central heating system and would like your advice on whether a powerflush may solve them.

We have had to call BG out about 5 times in the past 7 months for various problems, and have had 2 new pumps fitted in that time. We have to bleed some of the radiators upstairs every couple of weeks. Radiators hot at top and cold on bottom (on some of them). BG said pipes were magnetic and advised us a number of times a flush was needed. We have a Micron 60FF boiler about 7 years old. Standard CH setup.
Also noticed this past week that when both hot water and heating on the radiators are luke warm and cold tap in bathroom no very strong but when only heating on radiators v hot and water rapid. Could this be trapped air and will flush solve it?

Many thanks for your help and advice

Craig

From what u say , bottom of rads cold , copper pipes atracting a magnet ? than you should get it flushed out , & dosed up with a suitable inhibitor !

2 new pumps in 7 months and many visits and advice that you need a powerflush and your pipes contain magnetite.how much more advice do you need? The cold tap problem is not connected to your circulation faults.
