Powermax 155x

I know that I may be the only person who still has a Powermax 155x, but it has been excellent for 23 years now. This morning however the LCD screen went blank except for the words "Switch on" which flashes on and off in the bottom right hand corner. It still heats water in the constant mode, but need the display to use the heating and timers? Has anyone got any idea how this can be resolved?

Hi, yes I saw that thread thank you, but the problem appears to be different as my boiler has had constant power, so the back up battery should not be the issue, unless of course I am misunderstanding something. My display must be working to some extent for it to display "Switch on".
