Hi ,

Im in process of remodelling bathroom. i had to take it back to brick due to many issues.

When i cleared all the blown plaster some of the bricks on the internal wall (cavity walls) below the window were loose as you can see with the crack. What do i need to do to prepare the wall for dot a dab plaster. Do i need to remove bricks one by one and reset them?

I know how to replace the sill board with expanding foam etc. What about around the window there are a number of loose bricks .

How do i fill the cavity for the plaster board to take too. The top bit has old lathes which i will remove. how do i fill this bit.

Thank shaun

If you don’t get useful answers here, try in “building”.
I’m a little concerned about the lintel, though it’s hard to see in the photos. Are those loose bricks supposed to be supporting the end of the lintel? What is the lontel made of?
