Problem with a new mixer shower - Help!

I previously had an aqualise mixer shower in my ensuite which had good water pressure.

I have since had the shower replaced (with a triton shower) and now the pressure is very poor - as such I now feel cold standing in the shower as the flow doesn't cover your whole body and the suds take an age to rinse away.

I'm sure the shower is correct as it is a 0.5 bar which suits the distance to the cold water tank in the loft.

I can't understand why the new shower doesn't feel the same as my old one. The plumber who fittted it insists all he did was take the old unit away and fix the new shower onto the existing pipe work. He also says he has checked the filters and there is no debris.

Could anyone suggest what the problem is?

What is the vertical distance between the shower head and the water level in the cold water tank in your loft ?

unscrew the shower head from the hose. if there are flow restrictors in there (round disks) take em out and throw them in the bin

@ 1 metre you will get 3.4 lpm, if you want a better shower you will have to either put in a pump/change the shower/raise the cold water tank.

Is it the fact that it's a thermostatic mixer shower that is reducing the flow? I didn't have a thermostatic mixer shower before?
Is it possible to remove the thermostat from the unit?

When I was a lad selling Aqualisa shower mixers they were one of the few makes that had 3/4" connections. The Triton is probably 1/2" connections.
That may be the cause of the problem.

The flow from a triton will not be as good as an Aqualisa if you want a better flow fit an Aqualisa themostatic shower.
