Problem with Ferroli Modena 102

Can anyone give me some help/advice with this problem?
I have a Modena 102 and when you run the HW it runs very hot for 10-15 seconds then the boiler cuts out and runs cold. The CH is on a timer but it decides to ignores this. Sometimes moderate heat is given from the radiators but generally very little is given off.
When attempting to run HW for I have to repeatedly turn to reset until it fires up and runs the HW. Any ideas? or is it time to scrap the boiler?

Type Ferroli into the search facility and you will find the fault is usually the thermistors less than a tenner for the 2.
