Looking at planting some of this at the back of our garden against a fence that is slowly being destroyed by neighbours footballs (not our fence). Hopefully will deter littluns "popping"into our garden to get said footballs back without asking

Issue is that we have a screen of about 6 large (15 foot) conifers there and the canopy starts about 6 foot high or so. Would the pyracantha's grow underneath this canopy to fill in the gaps so to speak? Would be semi shady/shady and soil is generally clay. Would roots of conifers be an issue on planting as well?

Thanks
