i did a short course last january and have been doing jobs since then with my brother in law who does plastering for a living. he completed his nvq level 2 last year. i have got quite good at plastering and would like to pursue it further. does anyone know any courses where you can gain a qualification in plastering when it is not your occupation (i work in an office but would like to plaster full time) as it seems impossible to get a recognised qualification if you are not already in the trade. :?:

Able Skills (can find them on google) have courses that can be done at weekends for beginner and advance courses. You can also do a further 6 week course over a period of 18 months to get a recognised qualification -perhaps you could do it in your holiday time?!

I haven't tried the course myself, so can't comment on the quality.

i've done the beginner course at ableskills which is pritty good if your a complete novice, i can now skim to a decent finish. But if i were you i'd sign up to your local college and get a C&G qualification, my college does it every sat 8-1 for a year
